MBA Recognition in Asia - Europe vs USA Post Wed Apr 04, 2012 2:24 am
Hi All

I am a Brit looking to do an MBA in the UK or Spain, at one of the top Euro bus schools (possibly HKUST too). To date I have ruled out the US as i dont want a 2 year course, and I really don't like living in America.

Upon graduation I will most likely head to East Asia. Do people know what general MBA perceptions are like over there? I am assuming they lap up the Harvard brand, but what about Wharton/Columbia vs LBS/Insead? IE vs Stern?

I will probably end up doing the MBA that suits me the most (and accepts me Smile, but just wanted to get my head clear on what perceptions are likely to be

If you want to work in Asia, its probably best to attend a university around there so that you can start building your network over there. If are also up for some sun and surf then have a look at Australian schools. Great proximity and great location! I've heard good reviews about Edith Cowan in Perth. They also have partnerships with school in other parts of Asia.

INSEAD, HKUST, CEIBS, NUS, IIM, ISB - Great Asian programs!
