Topic: MBA Interview Dress Code
PostThu Oct 22, 2009 5:17 am Reply with quote

Hi all,

I know a suit is standard for men. My question is about quality. What is the approximate amount we are expected to spend on a suit for MBA application interviews? I have a suit from a couple years ago that I picked up at the Men's Warehouse for around $300 (if I recall). Does this pass the quality test, or are we expected to shell out more dough?

Thanks!

Couple questions:
What material is the suit made out of?
What color is the suit?
Does the suit still fit well?

I believe as long as your suit looks professional without flashy stickers, or printed labels or spilled-coffee stains, you can definitely wear it. The price is not the parameter. How does it portray you is the more important aspect.
You want the adcom to remember you as a well dressed person and not by the color of your suit. So, i dont think a White suit with white suit would be a wise choice. Very Happy

Tip: Wear a tie (again nothing flashy)!
