Math Prep Book

by jaemarie » Thu May 28, 2009 10:09 am
Hello,

I will be taking the GMAT on Nov5th. I start my Manhattan GMAT prep on Aug 22. But before all of that, I KNOW math is my weakest area and wanted to know if ANYBODY can recommend a book that will explain the math concepts better than GMAT books?

Current study materials:
PR: Cracking the GMAT
PR: Math workbook

I found these materials did not explain the math concepts in detail enough for me.

I need a math book to explain the concepts for a person who doesn't speak math.

Please help!!

Thanks.

https://www.amazon.com/Math-Review-Stand ... 0822020335 is pretty good for reviewing the basic concepts. That book is used to study for math placement tests at the college level.

Besides PR, you should get the Official Guide. It goes over all the problem types, gives all the necessary defiinitions, and shows an example of each type. If your math is weak, probably won't be enough alone.
