I took the GMAT this evening and hence have not received my AWA score yet. However, I am a bit concerned about my IR score (4). I made 710 otherwise (Q48, V39). I plan to apply this Fall and London Business School is my top choice. Other programs I plan to apply to include HBS, Stanford and Kellogg. I eventually would like to get into management consulting; some blog posts had mentioned that the top consulting firms look very carefully at IR scores. Is this true? Should I retake and apply in Round 2 or keep my current score and apply in Round 1?

Hmmm, my thought is that if you don't think you would get higher on the main score, you can just apply with the score you have, and that retaking JUST for an IN score rarely is worth it.

Best,
Jon
