I am REtaking the test on Monday and after doing a GMATPrep sample test last night, I got a 610. My actual GMAT in November was 600. I don't know how likely it is for me to bring up my score to even above 650. I'd be joyful with a 680, seriously.
What can I do between now and Monday to pull up my score? I'm getting desperate!
Last 6 Days - I'm still at 610

actofman, I have my exam in 10 days and I am retaking the exam too . Here is what I have for me and may be it will be helpful to you too..
Last weekend I sat and identified my weak points from previous practice tests. I decided I am going to work on my weakness for the next three days, give couple of practice tests and continue practicing questions from OG13.
For you you can use couple of days to work on weakness.. retake GMATPrep test again(redundant ).. Dont get discouraged by the score, I have seem few who have done better on actual GMAT than on practice test. Just try to learn from your mistakes and move on.
Remember confidence is the key especially for GMAT. so be sure you go to the test with full of it.
Good luck with your exam

Thanks man. My initial plan was to do 1 exam a day from last night (which was when I got my 610) up to Sunday, the day before my GMAT. But now I'm rethinking if maybe I should just do 4 instead of 8 (1 each from Mon-Fri, 2 on Sat and 1 on Sun) and really carefully analyze the results. For my first take, I did 1 per day without really studying the result. I felt pressed for time that I didn't bother with it anymore. Maybe that's why I got my 600.
The 1 thing I don't like about GMAT Prep is that the answers don't come w explanations so I guess I'll have to rely on Manhattan GMAT CAT for that.
What say you? Is doing 4 or 5 wiser than doing 8? Methinks so. Yeah?

Just did, on the Quant section. There are, like, 11 questions there.faraz_jeddah wrote:I'd work on the weak areas too. Just make sure you dont have too many.actofman wrote:Thanks man. I suggest that you work on two things:
- test-taking skills (important)
- proper mindset (crucial)
Test-taking skills
Keep in mind that the GMAT is a test of your math and verbal skills AND it's a test of your test-taking skills. So, keep taking LOTS OF practice tests to work on your endurance and your time management skills.
Regarding time management: I suggest that you use a Milestone Chart to keep you on track. This is covered in our free GMAT time management video at https://www.gmatprepnow.com/module/gener ... es?id=1244
Proper mindset
As part of your preparation, I think you should work on developing a positive mindset. confidence is key. I cover the importance of proper mindset in this BTG article: https://www.beatthegmat.com/mba/2011/04/ ... n-the-gmat

Thanks Brent.
Now I'm down to the last 3 days. And I'm not sure anymore what the best strategy for me is to further increase my sad score.
1 MGMAT CAT today
1 MGMAT CAT tomorrow and
OG or MGMAT quant problems on Sunday? (And no more CATs?)

I suggest that you take an official GMATPrep practice test. They're the most accurate predictors of your score.
