Infotech, a software company, wants to improve its catalog in order to increase sales. The catalog features all of the firm's most popular products as well as its new offerings. To accomplish this goal, Infotech is instructing its marketing vendor to adjust the layout of the catalog. One such adjustment will place new products near related software rather than grouped in a single new products section.

Which of the following, if true, most strongly suggests that this adjustment to Infotech's catalog will have the desired effect of increasing sales?

A Some rival software companies are planning to modify their own catalogs in an attempt to increase sales.
B Most of the customers who receive Infotech's catalog have purchased software from the firm in the past.
C Infotech's software falls within several distinct categories, each of which appeals to a distinct group of its customers.
D The primary communication method that influences customers' decisions about whether to buy new products from Infotech is through the company's website.
E Infotech's president plans to decrease the firm's spending on catalog marketing next year.

I think we have to strengthen that new catalog will achive its desired Goal.
In D they are talking about something else. D is saying that primary communication method that influence customers decision is company's website ( This is not strengthening the argument as per my knowledge )

according to what i understood about this CR is that the software company want to improve its sale of new products thus it tends to put new products it produced into group of its products it is selling in its catalog.
Since the customer often surf its catalogs to decide what products they want to buy and whether they should buy before paurchasing thus
D support for that argument D is what we need
D is my answer

IMO C

B will weaken the plan and will make loss rather than profit.

D is not relevent.

C tells you that software falls in different categories. Good. Means catalog is reaching to different category people and then it appeals to distinct group. It means that since software is contacting number of distinct people of different categories there is a possibility of doing more and more sales.

C also removes the possibility that catalog is stick to one group of customer, causing reduction in the sale.

What is OA?

I choose B because i think its easy to convince current customers than new customers.

Just consider this example
If i am using Windows and recently Windows recently new version of windows and they say that new version is much better than the old one and so on.

And I see a different ADD of Macintosh and they offer different products But I have never used it before. still i would like to stick to my Windows and will be more interested in Updates in my current software.

I don't know Whether I am right or wrong on General Perspective But I think I am that type of Customer.
