Hello,
I've heard that the Kaplan CATs on CD gives you a score of 60-100 points
less than the real GMAT. My target GMAT score is 740 (test date is 2
months away) and I was wondering if 660 on Kaplan CAT 1 (CD) is an
ok score towards meeting a 740 on GMAT ?
Thanks,
Sudipto
Recap: The GMAT was very different from the Kaplan test in terms of difficulty of verbal questions.
Kaplan CD test with 660 - am I in good shape ?

Dear Sudipto,
Congratulations! You are definitely in good shape to reach your target score on Test Day. The test scores on the CD are, in fact, skewed lower, so you can expect your actual GMAT score to go up about 70 - 100 points from your CD scores.
By the way, the scoring was corrected in the 5 CATs in GMAT Premier's Online Companion. The scores on those tests are no longer skewed lower, and instead now mimic actual GMAT test scores much more closely and accurately. I just wanted to mention that in case you take one of the online tests later on in your studies and notice the difference.
I hope this has been helpful, and I wish you the best of luck on your exam!

Thanks for the clarification Monica.. and the encouragement
I was wondering if Kaplan has any plan for selling it's package of 8
online CATs as a standalone package ? I'm at a point where I just
need the CATs without any course material.
Thanks,
Sudipto

i ve been preparing for the gmat for nearly a month
i have been taking kaplan cats both online and offline
my scores have been in the 580-610 range
i took gmat prep 1 today and i got 710 (50q 37 v)
what is surprising is that i made 10 mistakes in quants and 14 mistakes in verbal .....
in all my kaplan tests i ve managed to get arond 33 right in quants an 30 in verbal .....
so is my score in gmat prep higher than what i should expect ?????
my gmat is just 4 days away !!!!!!!!
