Hi Sri,
While this IR prompt includes a lot of information in the table, the questions themselves are not too complex.
Q1: A majority of respondents believe that adding a website could benefit their business.
The question refers to "a majority", which means greater than 50%. The first column in the table lists potential "benefits", so everything BUT the bottom 2 rows ("no benefit" and "uncertain") gives us a reference to a potential benefit. We have no way of knowing if a survey respondent considers more than 1 category to be a potential benefit, but we DO know what percent consider a website to NOT be beneficial (the bottom 2 rows, maximized). A quick scan of those bottom rows shows that they never total more than 37%, which means that at least 63% of each column consider a website to be a possible benefit. STATEMENT 1 IS SUPPORTED.
Q2: Fewer than 25% who thought a website could expand their customer base ALSO believe that a website could help maintain their market share.
Here, we have to look at 2 rows: Row 1(Expand Customer Base) and Row 6 (Preserve Market Share) and compare the percentages. With each of the 4 columns, we see....Latino (26%/6%), Af. Am. (29%/6%), As. Am. (25%/4%), Na. Am. (25%/6%) that ALL of the "second" percentages are less than 1/4 of the "first" percentages.
STATEMENT 2 IS SUPPORTED.
Q3: Only a small percentage of respondents are concerned that they are LOSING market share.
The benefit of (not) "LOSING" market share is NOT a category in this table, so there's no way to support the statement.
STATEMENT 3 IS NOT SUPPORTED.
