IR, can I use the numpad on the keyboard for calculator? Post Sun Jul 29, 2012 6:39 pm
hi,

I was wondering whether the on-screen calculator on the ACTUAL GMAT allows you to use the number pad on the keyboard?

-It doesn't work for the MGMAT IR sections
-it DOES work for the GMATprep software.

Thanks

It works with MGMAT as well. You can try to contact MGMAT if there are any browser related issues,

According to OfficialGMAT, it will work on the real test as well. Smile

And I can attest that the calculator not only works, it's much better than the one in MGMAT and better than the one in GMATPrep. Picture the Windows built-in calculator because that's basically what I got (and assume what everyone gets). One of the greatest things I noticed compared MGMAT (and possibly GMATPrep) was that you are able to select answers while the calculator is still open. I think earlier draft versions you weren't able to. And yes, you can use the number pad which cut my time down by at least a minute.
