MBA focused on hotel development?

by briangtsmith » Wed Sep 01, 2010 8:14 am
I am hoping to transition from my current job in real estate asset management to a career in hotel development.

Stats as follows:

Age at start of school: 26
GMAT: 680-730 on CAT practices
Undergrad: B.A. International Affairs from The George Washington University, 3.25 GPA, Studied abroad in Tokyo
Languages: Fluent in Japanese
Career: Management Training at Walt Disney World, Front Desk Manager at Disney's Grand Floridian and Coronado Springs Resorts, Front Desk Manager at The Plaza (Fairmont Hotels), now Asset Manager at REDAC Inc, manage buildings functioning as extended stay hotels
Distinctions: 1 of only 2 management trainees (initially 18) chosen to continue in hotel management at Walt Disney world; promoted from Property Manager to Asset Manager after 8 months at REDAC, upon proposing and planning a new division

I am currently targeting the following programs:

USC
UCLA
Stanford
Georgetown
Emory
Vanderbilt

Is there any other program out there that would specialize in hotel development?

Thank you!

I would look into Cornell. I know they are big in Hospitality
My goal is to make MBA applicants take onus over their process.
