E, when read literally, seems to assert that the "creating of Buddha images" accounted for the artisans' creative energy and also accounted for the construction and decoration of the temples. This is illogical. It makes far more sense to claim that the artisan's energy was expended on the creation of the images and on the construction and decoration of the temples.
