wow, interesting post.

I calculated my opportunity cost for US MBA and it came out to be 250-300 K . Top it with nose diving economy of US and US govt putting restriction really grim chances of post graduation employment. I am based of Singapore and realize that brand value of top US Business schools (apart from top 5) is not strong enough to justify the cost. Is it really a worth doing MBA from US for an Asian in current economy situation?

I dont know how MBA program can justify 100K plus tuition over 2 years. Considering I-Banking and Consulting jobs are dwindling in these turbulent times, why would anyone give up 60K jobs and pay this much. Its insane !!! Somethings needs to be done about this.

Hello everyone.. I am a lil confused, afraid of applying to US schools during such turbulent times. Can some answer the original question?? Or better what are the views of the other asian applicants who are planning to apply to US B schools?? Is it worth spending the money??
100 K tution fees for two years
120 K -- money lost due to no job for two years ( Considering an average salary of 60K)
