Hi:
How long before the deadline should we send our GMAt scores to Schools. I just send mine to LBS. Th GMAT has send an email stating that "Please allow three weeks for a program to receive your score report" .

Thanks,

As long as your school receives the report before the deadline, that should be fine. Most schools would generally go with your score that you mention in your application. However, schools would ask you to provide your gmat score report if they dont receive it before they make the next decision.

You can also call the adcom and explain them if it gets delayed. They will understand. Most of the adcoms, esp LBS, are very friendly, and accomodative.

I wouldn't count on the school being understanding if your official score report isn't received on time. I had a problem with my score going to Stern and they sent me an automated email weeks after the deadline. I'm still not sure if they considered me in that round.

If you were looking for more reasons to despise GMAC, look no further than the GMAT FAQ, where they don't even answer their own question.

Q: How do I order additional score reports, and how long do they take?
A: As part of your test fee, you may have your scores sent to up to five school programs, which you must select before you take the test. Additional score reports can be ordered for a fee by credit card at mba.com or by faxing a request. You can download the form at mba.com or call GMAT Customer Service in your region to request a form, which can also be mailed with a check or money order.

Abhay ideally you should sent it before the deadlines and 1-2 week buffering time is advisable. Please ensure you don't keep it to last minute as you know never know something going wrong

Yep. I agree with Kavita here. Leave a bit of buffer time if you can. It's always wise.
