Hi, all
I'm writing with both good news and sad news (for me, anyway). While I'm very sad to do so, I'm bowing out of the forums for the foreseeable future. As those of you who have interacted with me on the forums this summer already know, it has been a struggle for me to keep up with questions in a timely manner and that isn't going to change any time soon. You guys deserve speedy answers to your questions, and I'm not giving that to you (and can't, for a while at least). I will continue to write weekly articles for the site, though.
The good news, though, is my replacement, Whitney Garner! She's one of our stand-out instructors and she's very excited to start helping everyone here at BTG. Take a look at her bio here: https://www.beatthegmat.com/mba/experts/ ... ney-garner
Over the next week or so, she and I will be clearing out my backlog of PMs (going back close to a month now). If you have already sent me a PM, you may still hear from me once more, but you will more likely hear from Whit. If you have an idea for an article, you can still send that to me via PM - I'll check in periodically to collect your ideas. In future, though, I won't be responding to additional PMs; Whit will check my account for a few weeks during this transitional period, but you guys should start to PM her directly rather than me. (And you can also PM our other BTG contributor, Ron Purewal.)
So, help me welcome Whitney to this great BTG community! And happy studying - may you all get the score of your dreams!

Hi All!!
I am thrilled to join the community and excited to try and fill the very big shoes that Stacey is leaving behind! As Stacey noted, I'll be working to reply to many of you who have already PM'd and look forward to hearing from new voices out there - so don't hesitate contacting me directly with your questions (or with requests to review already posted threads).
Can't wait to see everyone around the boards!

Stacey, thank you so much for all the years of service to our community. You've been with us from almost the beginning, when the Beat The GMAT community was so tiny! You've been a spectacular presence for us, and your contributions have no doubt helped tens of thousands of GMAT test takers (I say that with complete sincerity). We all wish you the best.
Whitney, what a pleasure to have you on board! Welcome to the Beat The GMAT community--I think you're going to really love our friendly atmosphere and amazing members. We look forward to getting to know you on our site.
All the best!
Eric

Dear Stacey,
Oh my god, I am shocked to see that your "leaving" us.....
Stacey, you have been wonderful & phenomenal in responding to our queries. The best of things is :
https://www.beatthegmat.com/mba/2010/04/ ... -760-score
This article has given me the right direction and momentum to pick up things. Now that I have scored a meagre 710..so Just following ur words to cross that 760 barrier!!
@ Eric,
Bhai, I have NO words to praise u. Just one thing..All double big thumbs up Bro!! your are awesome. hats off Eric.. Amidst all "issues" u had instilled confidence in me. Many thanks for that!!
Stacey, thanks for all the kind and motivational words.
And we wont forget your style of asking for the " source" before u pitch in for a reply!! Should I call that "Stacey's Style"
Hahahah!!
On behalf of BTG, i thank Stacey for her "Contribution to us and paving a unidirectional focussed" path towards prepping.
We welcome the new Garner and wish she is also a phenomenal tutor for us!! Welcome Ms. garner!

Thanks, guys, for your kind words and for helping me to welcome Whitney!
gmatmachoman - you know that "Stacey's Style," as you call it, is primarily for your (the students') benefit, right? From my point of view, yes, I care about properly sourcing things, but from your point of view, you want to know the quality of your source material. Plus, you don't want to expose yourself to a bunch of, say, GMATPrep or MGMAT CAT questions before you actually take your practice CATs!
If I were a student studying on this forum, I would refuse even to look at anything that didn't have a source. And for the ones that did post a source, I'd be picky about which sources I'd view / use.
