I am about to take the GMAT and I am practising on different CDs:
I have the Baron, the princeton review and the Kaplan.

I would like your opinion on these CDs for the GMAT: which one is the best or should I say the most representative of the actual test ?
Is there any other CD you would recommend using ?

Thanks a lot
You should download GMATPrep from MBA.com--it's free and it's the most accurate representation of the actual GMAT since it features real but retired GMAT questions.

Kaplan and Princeton Review provide great practice, but be careful about Kaplan--the scoring algorithm is screwed up and skews down your score significantly from what you should otherwise expect.

I would avoid Barrons. It's not a recommended textbook.

Good luck!

I agree. GMATPrep is very important for your prep, as it's from the test makers. I like Princeton Review also.

Ideally, you should only take about 4 practice tests total. Occasionally, I tell a student to take a 5th if s/he is really struggling with pacing or putting everything together.

But the vast majority of your improvement is going to come from the study between tests. The tests themselves are just readouts to gauge whether you are learning what you need to learn between tests.
