GMAT prep course comparison - Manchester, UK

by eoingrif » Tue Jul 28, 2015 12:15 pm
Hi,

I'm really just getting started but plan to take a classroom based preparation course in Manchester, UK in the coming weeks.

My options are Manhattan Review (www.manhattanreview.com) or Manhattan Elite Prep (www.manhattaneliteprep.com). I would be really interested to hear if anyone has any feedback, both positive or negative, regarding either company or even better the quality of these specific courses in Manchester, as I'm finding it difficult to choose.

Thanks in advance.

Eoin

Since you seem to have a preference for companies with "Manhattan" in them, may I also suggest Manhattan Prep :-)

Thanks Brent but these are the only 2 available in Manchester, UK hence the pretty specific request!

I figured as much - please disregard my lame reply :-)

I don't know anything about either of these companies.
To start, however, you might want to see what kinds of guarantees each course offers. That may help guide your decision (along with any feedback that may arise from this thread)

Cheers,
Brent

Hi eoingrif,

When it comes to preparing for the GMAT, there are LOTS of options to choose from. Is there any particular reason why you're focused on a live, on-site class option?

Hi Rich,

I just know that my style of learning is best suited to the classroom based environment which lead me to these courses.

Hi Eoin,

If you know yourself well-enough to know for sure that a live class is the best option for you, then you can proceed accordingly.

Most GMAT Companies offer some type of free materials (practice problems, Trial Accounts, videos, etc.) that you can use to 'test out' a product before you buy it. Companies that run live on-site classes sometimes offer a free class to help you get a sense of how the Course functions and the instructor(s) involved, so you might want to call the Companies you named and ask about that. If you're looking to add additional computer-based study resources, we have a variety of free resources at out site (www.empowergmat.com). I suggest that you take advantage of all of them then choose the one that best matches your personality, timeline and budget.
