GMAT HELP

Could anyone.. please guide me how to prepare for the GMAT test the precise way especially the math portion.... Pls I have to take the exam by mid july and I need about around 500 I took the test earlier and i gota really bad score around 300 .. Please anybody could suggest me how to study the math part. I have a Kaplan prep book with me.. So please anybody would help me I would be highly appreciated

I would strongly recommend you take a prep course or get a GMAT math tutor.

thank you so much for ur advice. i think i am going to take the prep courses from next week..one more think guys u think... 1 month is enuff for preparaton and also i am taking 2 extra classes in summer.. I am just nervous cause if i dont do well i wont get admission

I don't think one month is enough prep time if you're trying to increase your score by 200 points. That would be a huge increase, and you're going to need time to improve your fundamentals and learn GMAT strategy. Most prep courses are about two months. Even if you find a one-month course, it would be intensive and would be hard for you to complete if you're taking summer classes also.

If you're really nervous about not getting in, focus more on the GMAT this summer and don't take extra classes, or consider dropping one of them. If you're too busy with other work, it will be impossible to get the score increase you're looking for.

thanks again. but i know the fundementals.. its just figuring out the problem and putting it in mathematical equations.. thats what my problem is secondly, I am pretty much confident in exponents and quadratic equations. its just the word problems that messes me up.. u have any suggestion how should i practice and any books u suggests and thank u again
