I am new to Beat the GMAT and have just completed the exam in May with a 780 (50Q, 48V). For me it was about having a structured, disciplined program and repetition not just of new practice problems, but of old ones I had previously done incorrectly. The GMAT seems to write questions that bait smart test-takers into choosing answers based on reasonable but slightly faulty logic. So really focusing on the patterns behind questions, particularly in Verbal helped me push my score to the next level. Additionally, picking the right resources for ME was crucial. Not all resources and not all studying are created equal.
