Hello,
I had a general question regarding modifiers:
When you have a sentence like "He is one of those men who...", does the relative clause starting with 'who' modify men or He? So, consequently, do we use 'like' or 'likes'?
He is one of those men who like to go jogging -- like modifies men
He is one of those men who likes to go jogging -- likes modifies He
Is there a correct choice in the above two?
Of course, the above examples are not ambiguous. But there could be sentences where there could be ambiguity. What is the right way to go about this?

Case 1: John is ONE of my friends WHO JOGS.
The meaning here is:
Of my friends, John is ONE WHO JOGS.
Case 2: John is one OF MY FRIENDS WHO JOG.
The meaning here is:
OF MY FRIENDS WHO JOG, John is one.
Focus on the intended meaning, which the GMAT would make clear.
That being said, the GMAT is far more likely to employ Case 2.
