Hi all,

Last 3 months have really been painful for me. No movies, no hangout, no booze, nothing at all. All I had was OG, Practice sets, and study materials. Today I gave my gmat and was hoping for a 700+. Though in none of my practice sets I scored above 670 but was quite hopeful of breaking the 700 barrier. Hardly in any of my practice exams i focused on Quants as it was my stronghold. But today the verbal score threw me back to my early preparation stage. I have no clue as to what went wrong though i was scoring around 35-36 in my exams.

I'm clueless. How do I take my verbal from an embarrassing of 28 to 42+. I have started to doubt my ability to score a 700+.

Thanks & Regards,
Fakeengineer

Am sorry for the disappointment. However, you seem to have what it takes to hit the score you want. I would consider enrolling for eGMAT course which will immensely help with verbal. Also, do not nglect Quant. By the look of things, you can push your Quant to over 49. If you do that, then it will give you more room to jump the 700 mark given a 6-7 point increase in verbal.

Stay positive and give it one more shot. You will be in mate.

Stay blessed.

GMAT Has recently changed its Verbal portion, Now it is more difficult than what you have seen in many popular CATs. I score 35 usually on practice tests, i scored 23 on test day.

How many days do I need to put together to hit a verbal score above 42 ? Is e-gmat more than enough ? OR do i need to supplement it with other resources ?
