This is an old post, but what are the best books for every topic, for example. the best study guide for CR, Reading Comp, etc etc. He mentions not reading different guides for hte same topic, but reading the best guides for each topic, is there anyone who can give me a list of the best guides for each topic? thanks so much.

I know this is an old post but I'm new to this site. Thanks so much for that list of topics. I'm sure it'll be helpful as i start identifying more specific weaknesses in each section.

THANK YOU!

I'm far too late to congratulate you on this but I hope u r doing great in life. This pretty much sounds like my own state right now. I took my test last month and scored a disastrous 620 (couldn't have been more heartbroken coz my target score was 740). But time to pull up my socks n get ready for the run again. Ur post has sparked a new fire in me. Thank u for sharing the insights.

How much did you score in Practice tests? Did you use Kaplan or MGMAT CATs?

Thank you for this piece! I feel very relieved and inspired to hear your story of going from 610-750 by just changing your studying technique. I too got a lower score than I would have liked on my first round (640) and realized that I did not strategize my studying enough (as well as going over explanations enough). It is SO good to hear that I am not the only one in this boat and that is it not out of reach to get a higher score. I have about 2.5 months before my next text, fingers crossed!
