So I'm at the point where I'm deciding between a couple of schools to attend for my MBA. I am not willing to put my career on hold, so I'll have to go part-time. That being said, I'll only be able to attend schools with part-time OR online courses. I've narrowed it down to a few, but wanted the opinions of those on this site that have experience on the topic.
My question is, how big of a role does the name/reputation of a school play in your success after obtaining your MBA? One school that I'm thinking about is Stern (NYU), but it costs approx $120K for a degree! Meanwhile, Villanova (which I personally think is a pretty good school) costs approx $60K. I think that both schools are great, but do you think that the extra $60K is worth it for the "name?"
Also, again, I can't attend any full time programs. There are a number of pretty respectable schools that offer online MBA programs, but do they even get any respect? Are online programs worth it? Has anyone gone through an online program and still formed a good relationship w/ classmates, resulting in good networking opportunities? For some reason, I've mentioned possibly joining an online program at some pretty good schools and others have "brushed it off" as if it meant nothing since the word "online" was included. What do you think?

Your questions are essentially admissions questions (albeit discussing the value of a degree once you have it). Since those 'post-graduate outcomes' are so heavily influenced by the individual involved, it's not practical to expect that one random person's experience/situation will have any relevance to YOUR situation.
As such, you might be better served talking this over with an Admissions Expert and quite possibly by reaching out to the School's themselves - perhaps the Admissions Officers can put you in touch with Alums who can offer a more pointed evaluation (and one that would be similar to what you would be facing).
