Recommendation Submission Process

by topspin360 » Sat Aug 16, 2014 6:32 pm
Hello,

Can anyone please shed some light on how the recommendation submission process works? Once I list recommenders in my application and hit submit, would they be automatically contacted? Would they be provided a link to go and upload recommendation letter? Would they have to do anything else - like fill out a ratings matrix etc.?

Thanks.

Yes, once you add their names in, it sends off a notification. Sometimes they can go to spam or be stopped by firewalls so FYI. As for rankings matrix, that depends on the school.

Hope that helps!

Hi topspin360,
After you register your recommenders in your online application, they will get an email with instructions on how to submit the recommendation. Of course you should tell them in advance.
The nature of recommendation varies between schools, but usually your recommenders will have to answer some questions and fill out an evaluation grid.
