Hello

In MIT Essay 1 ( Please describe a time when you went beyond what was defined, expected, established, or popular. (500 words or fewer, limited to one page)) I want to tell why i quit job of programmer and went to journalism creating absolutely new rubric for newspaper. I am sure that it'll be very interesting essay, but this fact occurred 4,5 years ago while admission comity required to describe in essays invents that occurred in the past 3 years.

should i write essay about this?
first attempt 540 (Q48 V17)
second attempt 610 (q47 v27)

That is a great story, but you don't want to write about something that occurred past the time limit the committee has asked. It's like saying, "You asked me tell you about one thing, but I'm going to tell you whatever I feel like telling you." I'm sure you can come up with an equally compelling story from an experience you've had more recently!

Good luck!
