Lap   Why a timer is critical to improving your score

The total price of a basic computer and its printer was $2,500. If the same printer had been purchased with an enhaced computer whose price was $500 more than the price of the basic computer, then the price of the printer would have been 1/5 of the total. How much was the BASIC computer?

c+p=2500 (1)
(c+500) = 4T/5 and p = T/5
and (c+500)/p = 4 =>p=(c+500)/4
put in (1) and: 5c+500=10000 =>c=9500/5 = 1900
