MGMAT GUIDE 1 - Number Properties Example on Pg 40

Is the product of all of the elements in Set S are negative
(1) All of the elements in the set S are negative
(2) There are 5 negative numbers in Set S.

Correct Answer C

But my analysis is Correct Answer is B

As second statement states that there are 5 negative number.

The books explains that there can be 0 in the Set S but as per what I am thinking when its clearly stated that there are 5 negative number where is the discussion of 0 as we consider 0 neither negative or positive

Thanks

The second statement does not mean that there are only 5 negative numbers. It means that amongst all of the numbers, 5 of them are negative. So, 0 could be one of the numbers.

5 negative numbers doesn't mean only 5 negative numbers
