Hello everyone,

I have a doubt in the error caused due to dangling modifier(taken from MGMAT SC pg no. 84).
How is the error in the following sentence justified?

The problem was identified, using the latest technology.

Can anyone help me by providing proper justification(a few more such examples will be very helpful.)

Thanks.

i do not get ur question. are u asking as why is this sentence wrong? because even i feel that this sentence is wrong

sentence:The problem was identified, using the latest technology.
the comma + verbing modifier is wrongly giving a notion that the "the problem" is "using the latest technology"
also "using the latest technology" is neither the direct result of previous action nor an elaboration of previous clause . hence it is completely wrong

Hi Merlin92,

Since you're using material from MGMAT, and you have questions about that Company's material, you might consider posting this question in the MGMAT Forum (on this site). Someone there should be able to assist.
