Hi,

I started preparing in March. But I had to take a break in between due to some personal issues. I restarted preparation in May and here's my score on various tests. I am confused as to whether I should continue the preparation on just take the test now. My target is 700 and my background engineering with 10yrs experience in IT.

GMATPrep1 - 580[Q39,V31] (end of feb, with no preparation)
Kaplan paper test - 680[Q48,V42] (mar, after working on Kaplan math and OG Verbal purple guide)
Kaplan CD1 - 550[Q38,V26] (mar, more preparation from OG 10 math)
MGMAT1 - 610[Q37,V36] (May 5, more OG, Ace the GMAT guide)
MGMAT2 - 640[Q43,V35] (May 11, more OG, Manhattan SC)
MGMAT3 - 670[Q43,V38] (Jun 1, OG math,SC done)
MGMAT4 - 690[Q45,V38] (Jun 8, revision of Ace the gmat and manhattan word translation problems)

Is there any chance that I can improve my score ?
In the verbal section I consistently get 4 q's wrong in each section.
In the math, I make silly mistakes in DS and a few mistakes in general quant. Please advice on which section to concentrate on.

Thanks,
Geetha

Remember that as your score goes up, it gets harder to improve. At the beginning of your study, you made big gains. Now, it gets harder: you have to work out those issues that still give you problems after studying for months, and you have to start working on more advanced/harder material.

Also, with a bit more practice you might be able to cut down on your silly mistakes in data sufficiency - that would be enough to add a few points, probably. Remember to pace yourself and try not to rush.

Thanks for that Jim.

Took the GMATPrep2 yesterday
700[Q49,V37] But some of the questions were repeated from OG.
So may not be a good indication of the actual.

Anyway let me try to concentrate on DS more.

Thanks
