Deceptive Equations-another question

If ab!=0 and (|x|-a)(|x|-b)=0, then how many possible solution does x have?
1: a = 3
2: b = -2

The question is not clear. ab! = 0...
Zero factorial is 1

factorial function is not defined for negative integers...

Please clarify
