Hi All:
I gave GMAT today and scored a modest 710 (Q50 V35).
Preparation Material :
OG 11 , OG green , purple (it is must for verbal, not so much of help for Maths)
Kaplan 800 (good book for verbal)
Manhattan SC (must for start , but should depend on OG for last days)
Preparation time: 4 months
CATS :
GMATPREP 1 (1) 640
MGMAT 1 680
MGMAT 2 640
MGMAT 3 680
PowerPrep 1 670
GMATPREP 1 (2) 690
MGMAT 4 700
MGMAT 5 730
GMATPREP 1 (3) 750
KAPLAN 580 (Q50 , V27)
Power prep 2 (730 Q50 V41) ,
MGMAT-6 700 (Q51 V 35)
GMAT-PREP-2 720( Quant 50 ,Verbal 38)
I am not sure whether it is a good score or should I give another shot at the GMAT.
I am sure I can score much better on Verbal side as I made most of the mistake in last 10 Q's when I became very nervous.
I will be happy to answer any questions anyone has.
Is 710 good enough for top colleges. My primary target is INSEAD.
thanks,
Abhay Singh

Hi Abhay ..
Congrats on a very good score. and when i say very good score i mean it. GMAT is just one part of the application and no business schools will either reject u or take u only on that basis. and with 710 you meet the average ( median) of all top B schools . I would suggest you concentrate on ur application and make an impact through it. I am sure with 710 and if u have good application,an all rounded one, u will definitely get calls from All the Business schools.
Needed ur suggestion on the following
I am planning to give my GMAT during first week of sep. and just gave my MGMAT first test yesterday.. and got 660 ( Q 48, V 34) how do u rate MGMAT as u have given so many practice tests and the real gmat as well.
All the best for ur application and i am sure u will do really well.
Regards

MGMAT is on little tougher side as compared to GMAT. Actual GMAT does give a lot of easy questions even if you are doing well where as MGMAT will not give you any easy ques. once you have answered few Qs correct.
