So I did something that I'm hoping to rectify (which on hindsight I'm starting to see was very stupid) having completed the GMATPrep Test. I finished the GMATPrep test and briefly had 'reviewed' what I scored correctly and incorrectly. What I had planned was to thoroughly check what questions went right and wrong later and after I closed the window and came back to GMATPrep test results, I realized I couldn't view how I answered each question. Is there a way to fix this?
Also, I found that unlike the diagnostic in OG, I wasn't as capable of answering the reading comprehension questions in the GMATPrep test. I had scored above average in the diagnostic for reading comprehension but I don't think I would have performed just as well as I found the passages harder. Is there supposed to be a vast difference in the difficulty level between the diagnostic and the test? I also had a question about the time management as I was spending more time on problem solving and critical reasoning than the others. Isn't it supposed to be that I spend most time on reading comprehension and data sufficiency? I also found that I finished unusually early for both sections (with 30 mins to spare for each) - is there something going wrong there?

It has been a while since I did a practice test, but I think you need to keep the test "unfinished," if you want to go back and review your questions. There may even be a prompt that warns you of this.
The diagnostic test doesn't really provide a detailed analysis of your skills. You get generic ratings of Excellent and Average. The GMATPrep tests are adaptive and provide you with a better idea of your skills.casalily wrote: Also, I found that unlike the diagnostic in OG, I wasn't as capable of answering the reading comprehension questions in the GMATPrep test. Remember that you're on Day 3, so I wouldn't dwell too much on either test.
Regardless of where you spend most of your time, you're obviously answering the questions too quickly. . . unless, of course, you scored 800casalily wrote:I also had a question about the time management as I was spending more time on problem solving and critical reasoning than the others. If you didn't score 800, then there must have been times when you quickly answered questions incorrectly. If you have 30 minutes to spare then you should use your time to double-check your answers.

If you're interested, I created a free video that discusses a time management strategy for the GMAT: https://www.beatthegmat.com/mba/2012/02/ ... n-test-day

Thanks for the video! As it turns out, I did answer a couple of things inaccurately as after I completed at least half the data sufficiency questions I realized that I assumed option E was option C. So I did set up my own traps by racing through it because I was a little worried about being able to finish in time.

That's not uncommon. It's important to note that your score depends on both your content knowledge and your test-taking skills (including mental endurance!). Practice tests are the only way to improve those test-taking skills, and the Study Guide directs you to take at least 9 practice tests.casalily wrote:Thanks for the video!
