Day 2+Day 3(day 2 loads of time wastage, day 3 has just started have to finish my workload)

So by end of today I will have completed:
Brutal SC's remaining questions+overall review of all the 75 questions (even the second time around I am getting stuck on some of the questions)

DS OG 12 100-175..some of these questions are really really nice!

Topic of the 2 days:
Statistics..around 20 questions each of PS and DS from the forum.Encountered some high level ones..really nice..
Have to do a couple of RC's today..
Have to make the POA for the remaining days..ending up wasting a lot of time...stay tuned!!
Tomorrow planning on taking MGMAT free cat...nervous!!

Well, if it's like that, then I guess taking GMATprep 2 and then retaking the exams is pretty ok. I myself did not even reinstall the software and still got only like 1 or 2 repeats.

Error logs are useful to some extent, but I guess in your case they would not make that much of a difference. I say keep one if you feel like it! The way I focused on my errors was this: I needed more practice for problems that I felt I had trouble with. This "feeling" is what motivated me, not that I answered it correctly. After all, just getting a problem right doesn't cut it: you have to be able to get it right in any circumstances and know the stuff really, really well!

I don't understand the quant score..I was actually throughly enjoying the section 'cos I was finding it easy..Damn :x :((
Few days to the G-day and I find I am nowhere..Brilliant..

Hi uptowngirl92,

No need to be disappointed with this score. I too had got a Q43 on MGMAT a week before my actual GMAT, but later scored a Q48 on the actual GMAT exam.

Also, have you gone through the 99 percentile Quant questions posted by zuleron?

Hey..it's been a couple of hours since the test and I am really not able to let go off it..The review was another nail in the coffin..silly mistakes and how!!!Marked wrong answers,Twice did a sign mistake, multiplied values where addition was required..sigh..Don't know what happened..I was all set to get my highest score and give my best, instead got the lowest imaginable..

A note:Around question 26 i had a sinking feeling that something was wrong 'cos the questions I was getting was easy..the previous times I had taken a CAT i was at a loss in Quant..when one is lost it means that you are doing better,'cos the questions you are getting is of higher level...ALWAYS trust your instinct!!The cherry on the top is that i actually rechecked some of the answers that I got wrong!!

@sreak1089:Thank you so much!!..no I have not done the questions..I wonder why they don't make such threads a sticky or compile them somewhere..

So after yest. I felt like diving under the covers and coming out directly AFTER G-Day..Since this cannot happen in the real world I decided to make the best use of the remaining days.
I plan on taking two more CAT's..Gprep..before the final exam..
The next 4-5 days I plan on attacking the top 5 topics of quant and SC.Targeted practice:)CR will be doing it from LSAT.After that one Test will follow.
Lets see how it goes!

Did an important assessment today...

So the last three days I have been concentrating mainly on SC and DS..the work rate was going average and I was'nt too happy with it..So today I took up an unfinished mgmat cat..ONLY the verbal section was left so I decided to try doing that..(Did it in sleep deprived state to get atleast a bit close to the real thing..)
Analysis:
Q44(really doe'snt matter I don't even remeber when had taken it)V35 Total 650.

V35: SC 8/15 CR 10/14 RC 6/6

For reference the last mgmat full length test taken 5 days back, score was
640(Q43 V34)
PS 15/22 DS 5/15 Sc 5/15 CR 9/14 RC 8/12

This shows that when in a full length test my verbal score is NOT dropping.

Now that's both good news and bad news..please people send in your suggestions as to what should be my next step.

~~Trying to understand~~
Is it just me?Are'nt people supposed to be all charged up a couple of days before the exam??Then why do I feel like not touching the books..why am I wasting my time (third in a row)when I know that if I waste these last few days everything will go in vain?Is this a burnout? How can it be when I have hardly been studying the last few days? Then I must face the fact that indeed I am de-motivated..Have'nt the amazing people in this forum repetedly told not to take the Test scores to heart?...why oh why..
.............
Sorry for the off-topic guys I just needed to vent out a bit..I'll go listen to a couple of mood-elevating songs..

I was feeling pretty demotivated before the test too, but don't stress: it's all going to be just fine. Don't sweat over your lack of GMAT mood! Besides, you are not supposed to be wasting your energy in the last couple of days - just relax, review and rest!

hey uptowngirl92,

i have been following your posts regularly...and i must say you are doing really great!!

it happens that at times you don't feel like studying at all...and you don't even feel the tension of the exam date approaching...in short you feel nothing...it did happen to me as well...what I did may sound insane but it worked for me and brought me back on track

wake up early...really early and watch the sunrise...if you love photography...take a few beautiful sunrise clicks!! it made me feel calm... :)
then i visited some of the universities websites where I want to get through...browsing through these websites gave me a kick-start to follow my dreams once again

i hope you could get back on track and do a thorough analysis of what else is needed to push your score even further up...

good luck to you!!

Cheers,
Vivek
