Did you refer OG10 to prepare or you just used OG12 ? I have heard that OG10 has a lot of questions which aren't there in OG12 ?

I think with the amount of information now available, I didn't feel the need for a prep course. Though had I not got a good score, then I would have definitely gone for a prep course because a low score means that the way you approached the GMAT wasn't right and you need to prepare the right way and when you prepare for something again, chances are good that you will make the same mistakes.neodante wrote:Congrats,Paul for such a fantastic score. I wish I could be as luck as you. Did you take any prep course or did you do self study only ?

Wow, this is probably one of my favorite debriefs that I've read so far. It describes my situation quite closely. I even got a few tips (I'll be reading my MGMAT Critical Reasoning book now...).
This also led me to learn about "experimental" problems, which I think is really nice to know about. It'll definitely help boost my confidence during the test.
Now I just hope I can be as lucky as you!

Great debrief. I never knew this bit about experimental questions appearing on the GMAT. Thanks for the info

Thanks Paul for the excellent debrief. The post was kinda stress buster as most of the posts I have been seeing lately here mentioned that they scored much lower on the GMAT than on their practice CATs.
But in your case, it was the opposite. What a relief.
