Clouds are formed from the evaporation of the oceans’ water that is warmed by the Sun and rises high into the atmosphere, condensing in tiny droplets on minute particles of dust.
A. Clouds are formed from the evaporation of the oceans’ water that is warmed by the Sun and rises high into the atmosphere, condensing in tiny droplets on minute particles of dust.
B. Clouds form by the Sun’s warmth evaporating the water in the oceans, which rises high into the atmosphere, condensing in tiny droplets on minute particles of dust.
C. Warmed by the Sun, ocean water evaporates, rises high into the atmosphere, and condenses in tiny droplets on minute particles of dust to form clouds.
D. The water in the oceans evaporates, warmed by the Sun, rises high into the atmosphere, and condenses in tiny droplets on minute particles of dust, which forms clouds.
E. Ocean water, warmed by the Sun, evaporates and rises high into the atmosphere, which then condenses in tiny droplets on minute particles of dust to form as clouds.
Why not A ?
Clouds

IMO C
Why not A
Clouds are formed from the evaporation of the oceans’ water that is warmed by the Sun and rises high into the atmosphere
If you omit the underlined part, rises is referring to clouds not water, which actually changes the meaning of the sentence.

IMO (C) too.
Another reason to drop (A) is that it seems that clouds (because clouds is the subject in first phrase) will be condense into tiny droplets whereas in reality evaporated water should condensed. This ambiguity is removed in option (C).
Therefore choose (C).

Indeed OA is C.
So many reasons to reject A. 'poor A '
Now I do agree A option is wrong..
though C is not a very good option( passive - Warmed by the Sun ) still it is better than A.
Thanks all of you.

E is wrong because "which" is modifying "atmosphere". It is the water droplet which condenses in tiny droplets.

I would go for C
A is wrong because it is passive and gmat ignorers passive voice where possible and evaporation cannot rise into the atmosphere – it is the water that, being warmed, evaporates , not evaporation

yeap, it is a present participle (generally in such constructions, 'verb + ing' refers to the main subject / makes sense with the main subject). So it is wrongKuhu wrote:IMO is C for me
Another reason I think for A is that 'condensing' is not the correct verb form!
Am I right?

A. Clouds are formed from the evaporation of the oceans' water that is warmed by the Sun and rises high into the atmosphere, condensing in tiny droplets on minute particles of dust.
condensing is modifying water which is correct
but rises seem to be a verb of subject clouds which is incorrect
B. Clouds form by the Sun's warmth evaporating the water in the oceans, which rises high into the atmosphere, condensing in tiny droplets on minute particles of dust.
sentence fragment as there is no main verb
C. Warmed by the Sun, ocean water evaporates, rises high into the atmosphere, and condenses in tiny droplets on minute particles of dust to form clouds.
best among all options
D. The water in the oceans evaporates, warmed by the Sun, rises high into the atmosphere, and condenses in tiny droplets on minute particles of dust, which forms clouds
which is modifying dust- incorrect.
E. Ocean water, warmed by the Sun, evaporates and rises high into the atmosphere, which then condenses in tiny droplets on minute particles of dust to form as clouds.
which is modifying atmosphere- atmosphere is not condensing- incorrect
