Consider the following two examples,alex.gellatly wrote:What is the average of x and |y| ?
(1) x + y = 20
(2) |x + y| = 20
- # x = 14 and y = 6 --> (x + |y|)/2 = 10
# x = 24 and y = -4 --> (x + |y|)/2 = 14
The correct answer is E.
