application process

Is it possible to start the application process without taking the gmat test for Booth and MIT ?

What do you mean? Can you START writing your essays etc.? Sure. But you still need to have the test done before you submit for whatever deadline you are aiming at.

But if you are applying for EMBA track for these 2 schools you may not need GMAT(chicago waives it if you prove your analytical abilities thru job or a degree & MIT does not mandate it for EMBA admissions)
