Alligators

xxxThe 20-year alligator protection program has been declared a success, because trapping is low and alligator births in the wild are high since habitats have been restored to their natural state.

A. low and alligator births in the wild are high as
B. low and the births of the alligators in the wild are high since
C. low with higher alligator births in the wild as
D. low and alligator births in the wild are higher as
E. low and alligator births in the wild are highest as

I go with B

I go with B.

We cannot use comparison statement w/o its objects compared with each other. There aren't any clue to use the comparison form in the sentence (C,D,E out)
The array of nouns in a row w/o any preposition look awkward on A. So I chose B as a best answer.
(Also one of the parrallel clue is that "low" w/o underline justify the "high"(original form of adjective)followed by it.

f2001290, the original does not match the choice A.

Original uses 'since' and the choice A uses 'as' at the end. I would go w/ original. What is OA?

I would agree with givemeanid..The original sentence seems to be the best choice..

If the answer is A,

If the answer is A, how can you explain "their natural state." on the last part of the sentence rather than "its natural state"? Can you justify that please?

"habitats have been restored to their natural state".
Plural 'habitats' is referred to by plural 'their'. Singular 'its' will be incorrect.

trapping is LOW and... something.. is <>

the word in <> should be parallel to LOW..

here .. the HIGH given is A is the best match

I agree on A its concise assuming that the as/since issue is just a typo which I am pretty sure it is. B seems wordy and awkward. C, D and E are unidiomatic
