Hi Stacy,
I was happily working towards my Essays and applications (after scoring a 700+), when someone just hammered a bolt from the blue.
I have been working as a consultant for past 5 years and always thought that I now have good work experience. My friend just told me that a consulting job is not rated well by the admission committees and that I really have very little chances of making it in top 20. Is this true? Is fulltime experience considered better than the consulting experience? If yes, then what options do I have?
Really need your advice on this topic.
Thanks
Alarmed, worried and unsure

It's just not that black and white. Depends what type of experience you have, and how you present it. I would never make a blanket statement like that.
