Hi,
I am looking to apply to Wharton/Booth/CBS/Kellogg this fall and would like some help/direction on how to start prepping for the applications.
I will also list below my current credentials. Love it if someone can give me some feedback on how competitive I am on paper if I were to apply to my target schools as is.
- Currently an investment analyst at a hedge fund in Canada. Previous experience in sell-side finance
- I graduated 4 years ago from a semi-target in Canada. 3.65/4.00 GPA in finance
- CFA
- GMAT 720/800 (IR7) ---> retaking this June, hoping to get a 760.
- Not alot of extracurricular since I graduated 4 years ago.
If I were to apply to the schools without retaking the gmat, am I competitive?
Thanks,

I am missing a lot of detail here so I can't really give you a fair evaluation of your chances without knowing more but you are welcome to contact ARINGO using our website with some more detail (about your work experience, post MBA goals, why you've chosen the schools listed etc.) if you are not comfortable sharing that on a public forum. You'll find the contact form for a free, non-binding consultation here:hwang327 wrote:Hi,

The only issue I can think of already that might really be a big deal is the lack of extra curriculars. So to start with I would really want you to specify what you mean by "not a lot". Are there some extra curriculars you could add to your CV? Or is there nothing at all, really?

To add, your hedge fund background will help and a higher score too will. As far as extracurricular activities are concerned, you don't need lot of them. Depth in one is far more important than a smattering of 3-4. It could even come from your professional experience: organizing non-professional events at office or similar on a consistent basis.
