Hi Consultants.....

Today i gave GMAT and scored a low 590.

Quant - 48
Verbal - 23

Below is my profile -

Acads
10th - 78%
12th - 74%
B-Tech(Computer Science) - 74%

Extra Curricular
State Level Player in Kabbadi
District Level Player in Football

Work Ex -
Currently working with SAP Labs as SAP Consultant
Previously to SAP i worked with TCS.
Got multiple awards,Client appreciations.

Entrepreneur
Opened web designing company with my friends and now i wanna do MBA as i realized that to make a company work you need skills...contacts.....business knowledge which you get from MBA.

After MBA i wanna devote 1 year as a management consultant then will open a new company

I wanna apply to Harvard, Stanford, MIT and ISB but as i know that my score is too low....Please let me know to which colleges i can apply with such a low score

Hi Akshay,

Your WE seems to be fine, but you have not mentioned the number of years you have worked.

Regarding school selection as per your GMAT score, I would not apply with a 590 .I would retake GMAT, score a decent 700+ score and then begin researching schools that match my interests and goals.

I would think that you will have to take your Verbal score to the 75th percentile (atleast) in order to be a serious contender for the top 10-12 programs. With your excellent quant score, and 75th percentile in Verbal should take you very close to the 700 level overall and with your profile and WE you will have a good chance at a lot of the top programs.

Well, sire. looks like a retake of the GMAT is in order. Better to do that a few times first, before you start deciding on which school you will apply.
