Hi Ashok,

First of all congratulations on such a stellar score. My question is with regard to the study material. I am planning to use the manhattan guide set along with the OG review main book for preparation. I am looking to score around 750. Would the above material combined with the practice tests be enough. Is the manhattan advanced quant absolutely required to get a high score?? Kindly advise on the above.

See nothing is "absolutely essential". what matters is your natural aptitude on quant and verbal. a lot of times we are inherently good at one or the other area. I think it should be fine even if you don't have that book and you are doing well on the tests. having said that, it's a good book to have so get your hands on it if you can

Hi Ashok,

So if i had to know your opinion about preparing for the exam given that it is my first attempt what study materials would you recommend in order to get a score of 750 given that one is devoting 3-4 months?

For quant, i found manhattan books to be solid.for verbal, aristotle books are solid if you are a non-native. apart from that make sure that you spend good amount of time in analyzing the questions that you attempt. Analysis of questions that you get wrong is the key to improve.

Hi Ashok

So would buying the entire 8 guide set of Manhattan be worthwhile or should one purchase only the quant books?? I heard good things about their SC and RC books and probably for CR I can purchase powerscore bible if required. Is this a descent combination to have at one's disposal?? Also what can be the estimated time to complete the preparation thoroughly via these guides OG and test taking.

What would you suggest to someone who has already finished all mgmat books and not able to improve beyond a certain point. Any tips?

No offence intended but based on the sentences you have written, it seems like you have difficulty forming and understanding complex sentences. I think you should focus more on that for 6 months to 1 year and then think about preparing for the gmat

Absolutely. i think sharvan needs to work on his basic english skills first and then go ahead with his gmat prep.
