This question requires us to rationalize ("fix") the denominator.
For more on this technique, see https://www.gmatprepnow.com/module/gmat ... video/1044

Given: 1/(9-4√5)
Multiply top and bottom by the CONJUGATE of 9-4√5, which is 9+4√5
So, 1/(9-4√5) = (1)(9+4√5)/(9-4√5)(9+4√5)
= (9 + 4√5)/(81 + 36√5 - 36√5 - 80)
= (9 + 4√5)/(1)
=
9 + 4√5
= A

1/(9-4√5)=(9+4√5)/(9-4√5)(9+4√5)=(9+4√5)/(81-80)=(9+4√5). Hence, the correct answer is A.
