1. 2(x-y) =1
x-y = 1/2 insufficient

2. x/y > 1

x>y when y > 0
x<y when y< 0 insufficient

TOGETHER x-y =1/2 ==> x>y

From 2 x>y when y>0 so x>0 answer C
