Knewton course

by geno5 » Mon Jan 23, 2012 11:06 am
Hi

I was wondering about the homework required for the money back what is it like, how do you know if we have completed it? Is it just watching the videos or is there questions? Are all the on demand classes relatively the same as the live ones only you can interact? Both have the same topics? I watched the free trial of geometry and liked it, you have the same videos for all topics? I need something that goes into detail into every topic to refresh on quant and verbal.

Thanks

Hi there!

Great questions -- I can definitely tell you a bit more about the course and required work. There are 13 total sessions, and each of those sessions is divided between quant and verbal. Each quant and verbal section has a pre-assessment, on-demand video, post-assessment, and homework assignment (test-like practice questions). These assignments make up the "Core Work" of the course, and they must all be completed for every session, along with the 6 full-length practice CATs, in order to qualify for the 50-point guarantee.

The student website makes it very easy to see whether you've completed the necessary work for a given session -- the session/assignment will simply appear with a green check mark next to it.

The on-demand sessions cover the core concepts of the course, while the live sessions have more of an "office hours" format; teachers walk through practice questions and students are of course able to interact.

Hope that helps, and please let us know if you have other questions!
