Hi,
I am searching through master of science programs in marketing or finance for entering in fall 2012. and a week from now I will have my GMAT(expecting 740-760 according to my prep and experimental tests). Unfortunately when it comes to GMAT everything is only favoring MBA, however GMAT is not only needed when someone wants to enter an MBA program. So I hope I can ask you about other majors and degrees. The reason I want to pursue a non-MBA degree is that I am very eager to involve myslef in research areas and also gain some experience in involving my knowledge in R&D centers. I had little work experience(for about 5 months in an IT solution provider firm) as a business analyst and also had some research experiences in the field. also some in operation research and decision making methods.
1st question is that how can I get more information about best business schools offering such programs? because I only come up with MBA programs most of the times when i start searching; however I have already found some of them such as Texas A&M but I don't have any idea about their rankings. and their rate of acceptance for internationals.
2nd question is that how can I best prepare for their applications.

Thanks
Arash

I would say though that Marketing, being far less of a hard science than finance, can certainly be prepared for in an MBA, and several people I know have into research after a Marketing-oriented MBA.
And if your final goal is really research you might even look into PhD programs.
