European green crabs are an invasive species which have recently colonized the Northwest coast of North America, among other places. They disrupt ecosystems and prey heavily on native shellfish. However, in Europe, the population of green crabs is kept relatively low by a parasitic barnacle called Sacculina carcini. This barnacle is hardy and could likely be introduced to areas where the European green crab threatens to ruin established ecosystems.
Which of the following, if true, most strongly supports the argument that it would NOT be advisable to attempt to eliminate European green crabs from the Northwest coast of North America by introducing to the area the parasitic barnacle discussed above?
(A) In their native habitat, the parasites often threaten the elimination of local green crab populations.
(B) European green crabs are also occasionally preyed upon by fishes, gulls and other species of crab in their native ecosystems.
(C) Though the parasite may survive in North American waters, no large-scale facility for breeding and harvesting the parasites exists as of yet.
(D) Many other invasive species on the Northwest coast of North America are not suitable hosts for this parasite.
(E) Though the barnacle cannot reproduce inside of native shore crabs, it can still infect and kill native shore crabs.

IMO E
a) barnacle won't be in its natural habitat in North America
b) irrelevant
c) We want parasites to remove European green cabs and not to breed
d) we are concerned about European green crabs only.
e) correct. They can kill native crabs.

This is a strengthen the argument question the only difference is that the conclusion to be strengthened is in the Q stem: therefore it would not be advisable to attempt to eliminate European green crabs from the Northwest coast of North America by introducing to the area the parasitic barnacle discussed above
This can be done is there ways
1.Supply the supporter assumption
2.provide a situational support
3.provide a principle theory support
So focus only on the conclusion ie it is not good to introduce these parasites in North America because of some problem they may cause in North America due to their nature to eliminate the other species.so the two key elements are North America getting affected and parasite affecting it
A.Native habitat of the parasite is irrelevant for this as we are looking at Nrth Ame in specific
B.The parasite is not talked about here
C.The problem is about the effect on North Ame
D.Other Invasive parasite is not host it doesn't do any negative effect on North Ame
E.This the right ans since the parasite will cause a negative effect on the North Ame coast
You are providing a situational support

really difficult to interpret the answer choices as what are they actually doing to the Conclusion of the argument.
