Insurance agents claim that the annual cost to the Medicaid system of childhood obesity in hospital stays and therapy fees is at least $3 billion a year.

(A) the annual cost to the Medicaid system of childhood obesity in hospital stays and therapy fees is at least $3 billion a year--- Place of prepositional phrase "of childhood obesity" is wrong. This option does not convey the meaning the sentence wants to.

(B) the annual cost of childhood obesity to the Medicaid system is at least $3 billion a year coming from hospital stays and therapy fees this is wrongly modifying the noun year.

(C) childhood obesity costs the Medicaid system at least $3 billion a year in hospital stays and therapy fees

(D) $3 billion a year in hospital stays and therapy fees is the annual cost to the Medicaid system of childhood obesity-- Same problem as Option A

(E) hospital stays and therapy fees cost the Medicaid system at least $3 billion a year because of childhood obesity--- Changes the meaning. It says Hospital stays and therapy fees cost where it is the obesity which costs through hospital stays and therapy fees

Hi,
With this unanimity, I don't think OA will be any different from C.
Cheers!
