Schools and programs for IT consulting

by SloMoe » Thu May 12, 2011 12:12 pm
Hello,

I'm a Software engineer with 5 years of work experience in SW Development, working for a
SW industry giant. I would like to go for an MBA now and I'm looking for a program that takes me towards IT Consulting as I want to utilize my work ex. A one year course would be preferable, can you please let me know about the schools that offer such a program(s)?
Thanks!

Regards,
SloMoe.

P.S. Business Consulting also excites me but I'm not sure if its a good idea to opt for it since I don't have anything to show yet. Any advice for me?

@Community: need your help, please reply if anyone has any idea

Hi,

One way to narrow your search is to see where your prospective employers recruit from. Deloitte, Mckinsey BTO, etc have certain target schools - you might just ask some of these schools for their recruiting successes from your target employers. Its one thing to have the program, its another to get employers actively recruiting on the basis of these programs.

Good luck!
