Q. x,3,1,12,8

If x is an integer, is the median of the 5 number shown greater than the average of the 5 numbers

a) x > 6

let x = 7

number are 1 1 2 3 7 8
median 2.5 and avg 3.66
Since x is greater than 6 median will always be 2.5 and avg will always be greater than 3.66 SUFF

b) x is greater than the median of the 5 numbers.

5 numbers are 1 1 2 3 8
median 2 and x > 2..lets say x = 3
again number are 1 1 2 3 3 8
median 2.5 avg 3
Since x is greater than 3 median will always be 2.5 and avg will always be greater than 3 SUFF
