Another approach:Vincen wrote:a and b are nonzero integers such that 0.35a = 0.2b. What is the value of b in terms of a?
(A) 0.07a
(B) 0.57a
(C) 0.7a
(D) 1.75a
(E) 17.5a
Given: 0.35a = 0.2b
Multiply both sides by 10 to get : 3.5a = 2b
Divide both sides by 2 to get : 1.75a = b
Answer: D
